Using a visualisation diagram as part of the planning process can be very effective for the production team, as well as the client, as it offers a clear visual of the way you want the final print product to look.
For example, to create a simple visualisation diagram, there is both advantages and disadvantages, but to make it clear to understand it doesn't require much techincal skills or training. As a result of this the production team can select a single person to design of the website rather than hiring a full team and wasting money. However, as it is only one person creating the diagram, it may be more time consuming than it would with a team, but it will not cost as much in the long run.
An advantage of using a visualisation diagram in the preproduction of myholidayplanner.com is that it shows a clear layout of the website which is going to be created. As it is a visual form it is more efficient as it can be shown to the client to be corrected before going along with the production of the website, therefore will make the website match the clients needs and wants in the website. This means further down the line when the website is viewed from the client there is less things that will need to be changed if the visualisation matches what the website looks like.
On the other hand, if you are creating a visualisation diagram with a team or the client you are working for is very involved with the design and houses type of the website, then it could cause stress and debate between the people you are working with, in this case would be Cery and the client. An example of something which could stress Cery out is if there is constant changes what needs to be made in the design, this could be layout, colour, font etc. As a designer Cery would need to find the right balance of putting her unique design into the website but also sticking to the client brief, as well as being able to put what the client wants on the website before what she believes the best house type for the website is.
Overall I believe that visualisation diagrams are an effective part of the pre production process when planning a website and print products. I think this as even if the drawing aren’t clear and the diagram isn’t the best examples of colours, fonts etc, the labels around the diagram will give a more clear image to the producers as well as the client, making it the most appropriate method of preproduction to show the house style of the website.
